DAISY GRAY

Textiles

Daisy’s vignettes for Weven have been stitched, bound and tied together using fragments of naturally dyed silk, cotton and linen. From deep indigo and bright cochineal, to the softer hues of goldenrod, madder and logwood.

Her most recent research was conducted in Pettinengo in Italy, where Daisy practiced mordanting and natural dye methods, and studied the ancient technique of sea silk weaving.

Daisy holds a degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, and currently works in publishing under the subjects of lifestyle and contemporary craft.
