Together Mila and Daisy work with natural dyes and traditional textile techniques to create refined, contemporary textiles and sculptural pieces. Both graduates of Chelsea College of Arts, Mila and Daisy have practices rooted in skilled craft-making, and pay close attention to form and function.
Madder, logwood, cochineal and indigo form their colour palette for this collection of one off silk scarves. Each piece has been individually hand tied using the traditional Japanese Shibori technique, creating quiet and irregular resist patterns.
Daisy and Mila have worked collaboratively for bespoke commissions and exhibitions, and have exhibited together for Stroud International Textile Festival, 2018, and for their joint show in London, Not Reading But Dancing, 2019.
