Three Suns, Puppet Show
SUNDAY 27TH JUNE 11am and 2.30PM
Three Suns is a three-hander, directed by Jo Blake and devised by Isabel Lyster, Corinne Harragin and Rob Pemberton.
The set welcomes you into Milo’s kitchen, where puppets are revealed from inside teapots and bowls of potatoes, and everyday utensils spring to life to become characters in the stories. An evocative musical score, performed live, helps transport you around the world to where the stories have come from. Each story is told using a mix of different styles of puppetry including bunraku/table top and object manipulation to transport between different scales and worlds. Audience interaction is incorporated throughout the production to make the experience engaging, exciting and playful for all. As the characters cook and play, it will inspire children to step out of their comfort zones, be inquisitive and accepting of other cultures and see what stories – and recipes! – they can cook up of their very own.
