Originally made at harvest time from the last sheath of wheat, corn dollies were the vessel which was believed to house The Spirit of The Grain through winter, until the dolly could be brought back out to the field in the spring to be sown into the earth, retuning the spirit to the fields once more.
Corn dollies are mostly kept now as good luck charms, house blessings and decorations.
