Dyed naturally with a mix of turmeric and sandalwood to give this fan a beautiful warm pinky orange. Fastened with 2mm gold wire.
The Fan is one of the oldest known corn dolly designs, an ancient custom that housed the spirit of the corn after harvesting and kept in the home for good luck. This ritualistic tradition lives on now, still believed to bring good luck, ward away evil spirits and presented as a reminder of the glory of the harvest.
Made from British sustainably farmed wheat which has not been treated with pesticides or a bleaching processes.
