A vibrantly hand painted, generously sized enamelware teapot and lid, painted in the style of ‘Roses and Castles’, seen on the canals of Great Britain.
Canal art has an unknown heritage but can be visually linked to folk styles across Europe, yet the folk arts of the English canals are unusual because they were apparently born without clear historical ancestors, the origins of part of this traditional culture still remain a mystery.
